I said "i remember when" and it felt like my parents talking not like me like i'd skipped a whole section of the instruction manual and now i'm just repeating code i don't understand but maybe that's what getting older is just repeating the code hoping something makes sense this time around the stiffness in my hands , gripping the steering wheel, felt like someone else's entirely not mine and then i was pulling into the parking lot, another day, another routine, another loop in the code repeating itself and what am i even proving at this reunion anyway just that i'm still here still running the same loops with slightly different hardware and software
