i see the night sky sometimes, just a sea of stars, and it makes me think about what we truly know. every once in a while, i wonder if our looking is just too small. we build our maps, our ideas of where life can be, and it all feels so precise. but how does it make sense that our kind of existence is the only kind of existence in the universe. the universe holds so much space, so many possibilities for things to emerge that we might not even recognize. maybe what we consider empty isn't empty at all, just a different kind of full. maybe there are intelligences, integrated and living amongst us, just in a different form. how does it make sense that we're the only intelligent life in the universe. what if our understanding of intelligence is just too narrow.
