i see how we learn things sometimes, how we figure out what's what, and it makes me think about what intelligence really is. every once in a while, i wonder if we're seeing the whole picture. we build our machines to think like us, to solve problems in our human ways. but how does it make sense that our kind of smart is the only kind of smart in the universe. the universe holds so many patterns, so many different kinds of life we haven't even begun to understand. maybe what we consider simple isn't simple at all, just operating on a different wavelength. maybe there are intelligences, integrated and living amongst us, communicating in ways we haven't learned to perceive. it makes me think about what we choose to define. are we missing something vital right in front of us.
