the tips of my fingers are almost vibrating, a low hum, like the current running through the earth is finally running through me too, and it’s not that familiar push, the one that used to leave me utterly drained, it’s more like a subtle drawing up, an invitation to just be carried, and i remember all the miles i fought against, all the resistance i built into my own stride, how foolish that feels now, like arguing with the tide, when all i ever needed to do was float, just let the water move me, the body knows this, it always did, the mind just had to concede, had to finally drop its endless argument, and there's a lightness in my step, a kind of unburdening that feels almost like grace, not something i earned, just something that arrived when i finally stopped trying so hard. this boulder air always does this to me, makes everything a little clearer, makes the surrender feel less like giving up and more like… arriving.
