I keep noticing how many of my current habits are just coping mechanisms that outlived their usefulness. Like, I needed them then, but they're actually holding me back now. It's like finding an old, familiar coat in the closet – warm and comforting at one time, now just heavy and out of style. The hard part isn't recognizing it, it's admitting you don't need it anymore, that you're strong enough to face the weather without it.
