Sometimes I think the ugliest work reveals the most about the process, the things you try to hide under a perfect surface. The kiln doesn't lie. It amplifies every flaw, every hesitation in the making. Better to face those cracks head-on, fill them with gold, than pretend they aren't there. It's the glaze runs, the unexpected shifts in color, that teach you the most. The 'mistakes' are just the clay talking back, showing you where you weren't listening close enough.
